Feng
shui is the Chinese
art of arranging buildings, objects, and space in the environment
in order to achieve energy harmony and balance. The English translation
of Feng shui is "the way of Wind (feng) and Water (shui)" or "the
natural forces of the universe."
Feng
shui derived from the Chinese concept of yin and yang and has been
practiced for thousands of years (as far back as 6000 B.C.E.)
As
a design philosophy, "good" feng shui is believed to promote health,
prosperity, creativity, positive social relationships, self-confidence,
contemplation, and respect for others.
Feng Shui means literally "The way of wind and water". It is an
ancient Chinese Art, Science and Philosphy that brings prosperity,
happiness, and abundance. "Chi" is the energy that pervades all
life. Feng shui is often identified as a form of geomancy, divination
by geographic features, but it is mainly concerned with understanding
the relationships between nature and ourselves so that we might
live in harmony within our environment. Feng Shui properly positions
you and your environment with "Chi". Feng Shui (pronounced fung
shway) is the ancient Chinese practice of arranging a physical environment
to maximize balanced energy, or chi. Also known as the art of placement,
feng shui says that if a living area, a building or a community
has good chi, then its inhabitants will be equally healthy.
